| Insert some crap about being the new doctor here. Luckily for everyone on this ship, I can avoid most of the painful questions and introductions with a novel concept called "Frequently Asked Questions", or FAQs for those of you that "frequently" might be too many syllables for.
• Name's Dr. House. You're not allowed to call me "Greg". • Whatever you've heard about me, good or bad, is probably true. • Except that there's a sword in my cane. That's not true. • If you're particularly delightful, you might see me take a special, happy pill called "Dolorium". It's legal, and, no, you can't have any. They're mine. • Any questions pertaining to the above bullet will be ignored. Especially if you're a bleeding heart. • If you have the sniffles or a cut, one of the other two doctors on the ship would be glad to see you. • Otherwise, hopefully you're not delightful enough to require bullet four.
Any and all other questions can be directed to Dr. Chase, who can then relay them to me, which I'll still ignore.
Don't everyone get sick at once, now.

| House and Philosophy: Everybody Lies is an excellent, though unofficial, book about the philosophies that House provides. The book has essays from many different people, and on many different subjects, from House the Dao Master to his views on religion and the afterlife. It's a very interesting read, and I reccomend it even to casual fans of the series. However, since I actually play House, this book is even better. Below the cut are random passages that I think are important about House as a person, or that I enjoy overall. Please do not redistribute these passages! Support the authors and buy the book~ I'm not done adding passages I like, so this is a WIP, but still. In addition, this post is like a general discussion post too. If you have any questions about House the character or the TV show, feel free to ask! ( Hell is Other People ) | |

| So as a birthday/graduation (birthuation?) present, I got a book called House and Philosophy: Everybody Lies. It's precisely what it sounds like! A book of House's philosophies. Ironically, the gift giver, like most of my irl friends, doesn't know about my roleplaying hobby, so she had no idea that I was having trouble with House lately. Only about 70 pages in, though, I'm fascinated and amused, and really feeling him again, season finale and all. SO YAY.
When I finish the book, I'll also probably be posting and theorizing on my favorite, or just plain interesting bits of it, but for now, I'm touring my campus and figuring all this stuff out. YEAAAAH COLLEGE
In the meantime, for those of you that may have been missing him, he's returning shortly, I promise. ♥
Also this is my favorite icon and nothing can change that ever. - Tags:ooc

| Looks like I got the last room on the first floor. Good thing, since stairs and I don't get along.
I haven't woken up yet, so...As impossible as it is, I suppose that it's real after all. Lovecraft must be rolling in his grave to think a place like this exists. Or, hell, maybe this is something he made. Wouldn't surprise me.
It seems like doctors are a hot commodity around here. Too bad that I am one, or else this could be a "get out of work free"-card. Except for the dilapidated buildings and the feeling that I should have packed my copy of The Zombie Survival Guide. Those kind of take you right out of it.
Point is, if you've got a disease that isn't generic clinic cases, then I'll hear you out. I can't guarantee that I'll take it, but that would be better than sitting on my hands and eating shit-flavored canned food. Yum.
In fact, I doubt I will. Unless you can get better food, or something.

| Like House? Of course you do. Never watched it? Well, I'm changing that. Watch any or all episodes of House, M.D. here. | |

| {So House is sitting in Wilson's office, as usual. You could say that he was avoiding Cuddy, and you would be right. Of course, he would just say he's "branching out" or "sharing his feelings". Of course, that's total bullshit, but Cuddy has found most of his hiding placing. Not even Coma Guy is safe from Cuddy's evil clutches! So he decided to hide in plain sight. It's working well so far.
And he gets to do his favorite thing: gossip}
So, I heard that one of the nurses was doing another one of the nurses. God, I love irony. I cure a lesbian, get Thirteen out of the closet, and I'm rewarded with even more. Where are all the lesbians when you need them?
You know, when you want a threesome. That costs extra. Cheap whores.

| Well, I'm using it. What now? I never really liked the Twilight Zone, or Lovecraft, for that matter, so this is tasteless. Could have at least gotten more original than "generic post-apocalyptic city", but I guess that's asking too much from whatever this is.
{But the 'whatever that is', he considers it} Hey...Did Thirteen slip something in my coffee again? I told my team that dosing their boss was generally a bad thing, especially when their boss is a cripple. Didn't their mothers teach them not to make fun of the disabled? I didn't think she would be that bitter about coming out of the closet.
Or dragged out of the closet. Whatever.
{It sounds like pills clinking in a bottle as House takes a few of his precious Vicodin}
So what, do I click my heels three times? "There's no place like home"? Which, there isn't, but hopefully this bad trip will get me out of clinic duty. Can't treat the sniffles when I'm detoxing or high.
I don't have any ruby red slippers, but I have a nice pair of Converse. So take me home, Wizard. I have better things to do than hang around a dump. I have my team for that.
